The 1850 is designed so that each exercise is performed in the correct position with the necessary support, allowing each muscle group to move through the full and appropriate range of motion. (For example, the Automatic Ratcheting Cam at the butterfly station allows you to easily select the motion range that is correct for you. The bench press arm features 21 different positions to ensure that you will find the precise position to meet your pre-stretch and lifting requirements.)

Maximum Press Resistance
Because the press arm weighs 50 lbs., the maximum resistance for all exercises lifting it is 260 lbs. with the standard stack, or 310 lbs. with the optional stack.
Minimum Press Resistance
2 weight reduction springs are included and can be installed on the press arm for those interested in lowering the 50 lb. weight that the press arm adds to the stack weight. Each spring reduces this weight by 20 lbs.

- Direct lift eliminates cable stretch and provides 1-to-1 lift ratio with a natural arc motion (patent #5,605,523).
